Valentine's Day 2017 Tablescape for 2

There will be just the two of us to celebrate Valentine's Day.   I will leave for a bit to deliver Valentine's cards to my Grandchildren.  We knock on the door and run away.  They really enjoy the surprise.

I wasn't sure about a centerpiece and when I saw the Queen and King of Hearts, I thought, well... that is perfect for the two of us.

I have pulled up two chairs in front of the fireplace for a cozy little dinner.  Since it is cold and still snowy here, there is a warm throw and fluffy fur blush color heart pillow to warm up the chairs.

I just wrapped ribbon and attached an ornament for the napkin ring.  I like how the heart has a little crown on top.

Every year we give each other a box of chocolates.

I took a closeup of my chocolate box.  I love how it has actual embroidery on the lid.  They have this same box in a larger size and it has 2 lovely attached fabric flowers.  I like smaller boxes.

Have a very nice Valentine's Day.  Everyone loves to be wished a wonderful day.  If you don't have a partner find someone to wish a wonderful day to.  Even the person at the Grocery store.  Everyone loves a smile and a warm wish.

LETTERS FOR SANTA

View of the front door.  I took the garland down to add some things and forgot to re-hang for the photo.  Probably forgot as the wind was blowing and there were snow flurries all about.

This coming year and real soon we will be adding to the family.  I will have two new grandchildren.  A new granddaughter and a new grandson.  That will be 24 grandchildren in total.  Love them all so much.

The mail boxes came in a set of two.  A life-size box and a 2 feet tall one that I can use anywhere in the house.

Please feel free to leave a comment below.  They make my day.  Thanks so much for taking the time to look at my blog post today.

Black & Gold Plaid Christmas Tablescape

Plaid is still such a trend again this year.  I wanted to do something a little different after I found these gold and black plates at Homegoods this year.  I combined the plaid with polka dots, stripes, and lots of textures.

I am using a mirror frame to anchor the centerpiece.  I think a tray, mirror, platter, or another container makes it so much easier to contain a centerpiece.  My frame is a very heavy metal frame.  It was a mirror from Pottery Barn.  The original price marked on it was $300.00.  The glass had a big crack so they had a price tag of $10.00.  I felt it was a great price.  Purchased at a PB/WS outlet tent sale.  It is the original color.

Little desserts with a sparkle of edible gold glitter on them.

A deeply rich golden dinner plate.

Gold flatware has a lot of texture that blends with all the texture in the plate stack.

My favorite prize for every Christmas guest.  A fun Christmas Cracker/popper.  Having scalloped edges on them to match the scallops on the golden dinner plate.

I love your comments.  Feel free to leave one, they are much appreciated.  Thank you.

Elf Shoe Tablescape

                         Elf Shoes the Tablescape!

You see a lot of Santa boot themed items, which are adorable.  But I wanted to do something a little different so I designed my Tablescape with Santa's cute little helpers...the Elves.

Part of the centerpiece, some Paperwhite flowers.  I like to plant the bulbs or tubers on top of decorative rocks or gravel.  I love the organic feel and the look of the bulbs showing.  You can put moss around the base or plant in soil.  I added a couple of Elf Shoe picks into the arrangement.

I have 4 different Elf Shoe salad plates.  Photo's below show each style and design.

A large Elf Shoe bowl to display some of the Elf Shoe cookies.

Each place-setting gets its own little matching Elf show bowl.  I am using this as a bread plate with the added Elf Shoe butter spreader.  Each of my 4 spreaders is a different design.  The spreaders match so well with the Elf Shoe plates.

For a runner I found this amazing 7" wide gathered cotton ribbon.  I have never seen anything like it!  Purchased at Thanksgiving Point Emporium.  Unfortunately they closed the Emporium after 22 years.  It will now be another museum at the Thanksgiving Point Institute.  They have some incredible facilities and gardens on their land.  But I will dearly miss the Emporium and the friends I made there.

A little Elf Shoe stocking from PB Kids that they sold years ago to hang on the back of a chair to hold a treat or small gift.

A little elf napkin ring with either a red or green cap.

I have made a photo collage of all my adorable Elf Shoe cookies.  Made for me by my friend Deanne Taylor.  She is so creative.  I am amazed by all the designs she comes up with.  She does such gorgeous and stunning Wedding cakes as well.  Deanne made 4 of them to match the plates, the others are her own design.  The cookies are large, measuring about 4" x 6".  I love them!

Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my Elf Shoe Tablescape.  Feel free to leave a comment below.  Each one will be read and much appreciated.
