Getting Ready for Christmas

Wishing You A Very Merry Christmas

I gathered together some ornaments that I am using on my little white feather tree.  As well as some of my supplies to wrap presents.  I laid them on my ottoman and thought they made a pretty vignette, thinking I would take a couple of photos.  Instead it turned into a fun photo op.

Using such soft peachy pink this year.  The shade of pink is really a Ballet pink.  The exact color of a Ballerina's Pointe Shoe.

I found the little house at my favorite Pharmacy/gift shop.  Soft colors with French script paper to cover the house.

The ornaments I have are in 2 different sizes.  A variety of pinks, golds, and white.  So soft and sweet.

The throw is from Nordstrom.  Called Peony pink but really is a soft peachy Ballerina pink.

I used a white wooden tray that I have used for years as an anchor for the displayed items.

Feel free to make a comment, they make my day.  Thank you for taking the time to check out my latest Blog Post!

Thanksgiving Pilgrims

Each year on my entry way table I display my Pilgrim statues.  I know it is repetitive but I have an emotional attachment to them.  I love to study the history of our Country with all it glory and mistakes.  I have ancestry that goes back to the time of the Pilgrim's.  Traveling to Plymouth Rock even though now small, I felt a deep attachment to this sacred place.  As well as to the further south Jamestown.

I love using these statues.  I don't like even putting them away.  I could leave them up all year, I like them so much.  They stand about 3 feet tall.

I wish you a happy and peaceful Thanksgiving season.  I am going to for myself focus on all of my blessings.  Thanks for taking the time to see my post.

Me & My Dolly Tea Party

It will be getting cold.  My sweet little Granddaughter is over to share with her Dolly a beautiful afternoon tea.

This sweet little girl is just 2.  She is the new baby I photographed inside my Cinderella Coach.  What a difference a couple of years make.

One of our last warm afternoons.  The flowers and trees are changing to their beautiful Fall colors.

I have been using hula hoops in my decorating this year.  I found all of them at Dollar Tree.  These hoops I didn't have to paint as the colors were just what I wanted for this Fall party.  I have purchased several and spray painted them, adding painted decorative flowers and leaves on them with a paint pen.  I spray several with several shades of pink.  I have had so much fun doing it.  You should really prime the plastic hoops before you use your spray paint.

I found these adorable pillows at Target.  They are embroidered with lots of detail.  As they are reversible I used one on each side.

I loved this photo.  Both girl's are looking to the side.  A lucky accident!

I was able to get the hula hoops in 3 different sizes.  I have either used a zip tie or ribbon/string to join them.

With some of our last flowers we put them in this little flower press for a fun activity.

A little decoration I made to attach to the top of the hula hoop.  I used the tiniest paper plate.  Added golden string and set this little bird in her nest.

Please feel free to leave a comment below.  Thank you.
