HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA

Happy Birthday America.....

Such a wonderful Birthday to celebrate.  Over the last year I have been watching a show on AMC called TURN Washington's Spies.  I love this show.  It really brings home to my heart what the American Patriot's went through to create this great nation.

You know how you have certain ideas, accomplishments, and desires in your mind and heart that you want to achieve.  A "Bucket List" of sorts.   One of mine was always to see the Statue of Liberty.  It was such a thrill for us to leave New York harbor on a boat and actually go see this beautiful statue.  So with this theme in mind I created my 4th of July Tablescape.
If you click on a photo it will enlarge for a better view.  .

I really love giving "Christmas" party cracker poppers in many of my parties.  I was so excited about the 4th of July, I am giving 2 to each guest!  They are such a fun party favor, with their paper crowns, jokes, puzzles, and a prize.

Such fun and colorful corn chips from World Market.

I have to tell you a funny story.  I bought the placemats a few years ago at a Warehouse sale of P.B. & Williams Sonoma.  They had a huge stack of boxes.  It said placemats $2.00 each box.  They made you believe there was one in each box.  So I bought 4 boxes.  Well when I got home, there were 20 placemats in each box!  So I had 80 place mats.  I kept 20 of them and sold the rest on Ebay.  I sure wish I had bought more boxes!!!

Ribbon candy for the 4th of July?  A great treat from Hammond's Candy.  Located in Colorado.  Besides being red, white, and blue.  They are as American as apple pie, as that is the their flavor.

                                                   LADY LIBERTY

Please feel free to leave a comment, it is much appreciated.

I knew you would have a wonderful table for the Fourth of July, and boy you did a smashing job of creating this patriotic beauty. I do love the poppers too for the Fourth - they're part of the party celebration! I also love that you used the Statue of Liberty as your centerpiece, what greater symbol (other than our flag of course) of why we celebrate Independence Day. She looks right at home in a setting of burlap stars and stripes which are so appropriate for the citizens of this country, the ones that risked all to come to this country with little more than the cloths on their backs so they could have a chance to make a life of freedom for themselves and their families. God Bless America! Happy fourth of July!!!!

What a lovely table for the Fourth of July! I love your lady liberty! She makes such a great centerpiece, but all of the details are so pretty, the placemats, the napkins, etc. What are you serving your drinks in? Those clear balls look fun, I might like to try something like that sometime! I am pinning this and appreciate you coming to party with us at Celebrate Your Story!

I'm Canadian but still love seeing what Americans do for their patriotic holidays and your Fourth of July tablescape is terrific! I really love the Statue of Liberty centerpiece with the geraniums beside it. Wow, 80 placemats! What a deal but you were smart to sell some - would be quite a party if you needed that many!

What a steal on those placemats! I love your design style and anyone who thinks paper & plastic don't look classy on a tablescape has never seen yours!
