Cinderella.....       2015

"Be Kind & Have Courage"

We are all so excited about the new Disney Cinderella movie. We were able to get early tickets to see the movie before the actual opening.
This tablescape is my interpretation of what I imagine when I think of this movie. How thrilling it was to see this incredibly BEAUTIFUL Masterpiece.
I hope that I have done my Cinderella Tablescape with at least the idea of love, magic, & dreams!

Please feel free to leave a comment below.

The magic of Cinderella's slipper.  Each of the four place settings has its' own glass slipper.  Made of chocolate.  The beautiful golden Papillon (Butterfly) on the slipper just as Cinderella's was in the movie..

This shoe was made by the lovely people at The Truffle Cottage. (Follow the highlighted text to check out their website.)

When you see the movie you sill see how the Golden Pumpkin coach was made.  Of course Magic was involved.  My ornate cloche is symbolic of the Greenhouse that held the pumpkins.

Pure Magic!  Do you see the glass slipper reflected in the glass?

There is a beautiful portrait of Cinderella at the end of the movie.  This stunning blue votive has Cinderella's portrait engraved on  the front.

One of the pumpkins with the magic of the "Fairy godmother" has  turned into a BEAUTIFUL Coach.

My good friend Deanne Taylor of Pleasant Grove made this stunning coach from cake!

I love cloche's or bell jars and collect them.  I use them mostly outside.  But this one was special to me and I thought after I saw the movie that it would be a perfect covering for the coach.

My three tiered stand holds even more items that are symbolic of the movie.  The movie's beauty was astounding.  There was flora & fauna abounding everywhere.  Beautiful butterflies, bluebirds with their blue feathers, golden votives with jeweled crowns,  beautiful flowers, the Fairy Godmother's wand. golden pumpkins, mice,   crowns, and  stunning blue chocolate glass slippers.  A bird in a gilded cage.  I think of the song< "Sing Sweet Nightingale".

The base for all the centerpiece is a mirror I have.  I just took it down from the wall and thought it would be perfect for my Cinderella theme.

My plate stack.  I didn't want the focus of this table to be on plates.  I did want them to be elegant.  There is a gold beaded placemat, with a mirrored charger and a crown embossed plate.

I found some antique music scrolls and thought they would be perfect for the Grand Duke to make his proclamation of searching for the maiden that would fit into the left behind glass slipper.  I like the brass roller that the scroll is on.

Quite a lot of detail on the back of the slippers.  The Truffle Cottage does such exceptionally beautiful work!

The napkins are tripled, using gold, white, and blue.

At the movies.  One of my adorable granddaughters', Scarlett.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my blog post.
I will be posting this on Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps on the Porch.

I'm participating in Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps On The Porch.

The items used came from many sources.  In part, Tai Pan Trading.  The Truffle Cottage.  Overstock.  Ebay.  My favorite drug store.  Various boutiques.  Home Goods.  Z.C.M.I.. Martha Stewart.  Down East Home.   Z Gallerie.  Pier One.  Most items I have had for some time and I pulled them together for this tablescape.

This table is swoon worthy!! I have seen the movie twice now and it is so magical and the table is just as magical! Wouldn't all my girls love to come and sit at this table. What a cake! The coach is my favorite part of the movie set and your cake is every bit as beautiful. From the centerpiece to the scroll, the golden touches but most of all those magical shoes! Wow!! Blow me away!!

Oh my goodness! You are my neighbor! I wondered at Pleasant Grove and then I followed the link to the Truffle Cottage. I have been there. Now I need to go and get the chocolate shoes! I had posted some a couple of years ago that my son picked up in Toronto. These are more beautiful by far. We will have to get together. I am in Orem!

Hi, Valerie. This is over-the-top BEAUTIFUL!! I can't say enough about all the beautiful pieces you have incorporated so beautifully! The (chocolate) shoes, the carriage cake, the tablecloth, the napkins and napkin rings, the plates with a crown...oh, my goodness! Oh, the mirror under the centerpiece, the cloche over the cake...you get my drift, right? Seldom do I go on and on like this.

BTW, I love innocent children's stories as it seems you do, and I recently did a Peter Rabbit post from our grandson's 2nd birthday. I think you might enjoy it. This is your official invitation. :) ~Zuni

I haven't seen the movie- just bits and pieces from advertising but it does look like its a beautifully done. You really took this table over the top and I love it!
