Poinsettia Medley

This tablescape is so colorful and cheery it makes me happy.  Inspired by the inexpensive red Poinsettia placemats that I purchased at a Kroeger market.

I am using my gold pin-tuck tablecloth that I find is quite versatile.  Place settings consist of a gold ruffled place mat, then my favorite red poinsettia placemat.  Followed by a red charger, gold plate and lastly the poinsettia salad plate.

Gold goblets with a take home treat, a poinsettia sucker. Yummy.

I found the lovely Poinsettia suckers at a company called "Peppermint Place", in Orem, UT.  They do mail order and craft all kinds of treats for many holidays.  All hand detailed.  They had some beautiful Hanukkah candies as well.   They also sell seconds in their Factory Store.  Prices are great!

I doubled the napkins using a cheery plaid and a solid gold napkin with red and green ruffled trim.  The colors in the napkins mimic the poinsettia plant and gold wrap around the pot.

The little Poinsettia gift box is from Martha Stewart.  Made of cardboard.  I painted the base with a flat red craft paint and then a lighter glossy paint for the flower.  A little gold glitter to finish!

Inside the box is a delicious truffle with a poinsettia decoration.

I used some Poinsettia ornaments around the base of the Poinsettia plant and some red and gold tea lights scattered around the table.

Below is a photo of the placemat that inspired this tablescape.  When I saw this placemat I knew I wanted to do a Poinsettia them table setting.  I love the look of it.  Very inexpensive.  Made from vinyl but the color finish is metallic and has a beautiful iridescent quality to it.  And with the pierced look I find it stunning.  For Halloween (by the same manufacturer) they did a spider web version with the same beautiful paint finish and the pierced look which I love.  They came in purple, silver, and black.  I used the purple spider web placemats in my Day of the Dead tablescape.  Check it out.  I was able to get all 3 colors as the price was right.  And at my local Kroeger grocery store.  They were sold at Home Goods and TJ Maxx as well.

Please feel free to make a comment.   Merry Christmas
